Public Safety officers found a stolen jeep crashed in southeast Mexico early Sunday morning. They were called to East Holt and Christy around 12:30 a.m. in reference to suspicious activity involving the jeep. Officers found it nearby, but the driver sped around the block. Mexico Public Safety responded to a small grass fire Sunday afternoon. Officials say they found the remains of the fire near the base of a utility pole on Lakeside Place. Neighbors had put it out before officers arrived. No one was injured. The incident happened around 4:45 p.m.
