Man Caught Dealing Drugs Near WWU

Fulton Police report they arrested a man for allegedly selling drugs just west of the William Woods University campus.

Officers responded to a report of a white male threatening other people with a gun at 15th street and Monroe around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday. Police chased the suspect, 31-year-old Brent Teel, to a nearby house. Inside, officials claim they found a substantial amount of marijuana along with packaging materials, baggies, scales, drug paraphernalia and several types of pills. A gun, a .22 derringer, and a large machete were also confiscated.

Teel was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Near a School, 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia.

Teel was taken to the Callaway County Jail with a bond of $34,500.
