Mexico Public Safety Reports Few Problems With Fireworks Calls

Mexico Public Safety officers responded to about 30 calls complaining about fireworks being shot off in Mexico neighborhoods over the Fourth of July. Public Safety Assistant Director Brice Mesko says the department is still compiling numbers as to how many, if any, citations were written but he says it appears most that were contacted about shooting the fireworks heeded the warning and stopped before a citation could be written. Mesko says there were no injuries and no fires reported due to fireworks this year.
