It’s fair season in mid-Missouri, and Audrain County is no exception. The Audrain County 4-H and Youth Fair starts Friday, July 13th at the 4-H Fairgrounds in Mexico.
Spokesperson Heather Wagoner says the Midwest Cowboy Rodeo Company will get things going. The start time for the rodeo has been pushed to 8:00 p.m. Friday to avoid any problems with the heat.
Saturday, the festivities continue with a “ham breakfast,” followed by various shows throughout the day.
Sunday is the fair’s family day. Wagoner says there will be a “Cowboy Church Service” at 10:00 a.m.
“I’m really excited about this,” said Wagoner, “he is going to give the service on horseback.”
On Monday, there will be a swine show, a super farmer contest, and races, all starting at 7:00 a.m.
The fair wraps up Tuesday with sales and a barbecue dinner.
The 4-H Fairgrounds are located on Route D, southwest of the Mexico Wal-Mart location.
