The Mexico City Council is meeting Monday night. There are only a couple of items up for discussion on the agenda.
One is a resolution to renew an agreement with the Heart of Missouri Tourism Center. If passed, it would designate $1,200 towards a light box at the Center, located in Kingdom City. The funds would come out of the tourism tax revenue.
The Council will also consider an ordinance that would establish a procedure to disclose potential conflicts of interest for certain municipal offices including the City Manager, Chief Purchasing Officer, and the council members themselves. Under the bill, officials must disclose all financial transactions of more than $500.
We’ll have a full rundown of the meeting Tuesday.
