Tuesday is a big night for the Mexico Board of Education.
The Board will start its monthly meeting in a closed-door session with a representative from the State Auditor’s Office to discuss the general compliance audit. The review was announced in February, and is separate from the annual financial audit.
The results will be given in an executive session, and district officials will get a chance to respond to the findings before they are made public.
The open meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. with a tax rate hearing, followed by the regular session.
We will discuss the issues further in depth tomorrow with a word from district officials.
