Audrain County Sheriff Stuart Miller says two men were target practicing at an address on Audrain County Road 416 when the gun they were using jammed. Miller says reports indicate as they were trying to clear the jam, the gun discharged, striking the 18-year-old. Miller says the accident happened around 8:00 Sunday night. The sheriff’s department was notified by personnel at Audrain Medical Center of the incident, which they are required to do by state law. Miller termed the injuries as non-life threatening.
