Computer Virus Reported In Mexico

A new computer virus has shown up in mid-Missouri. The FBI Moneypak Virus has been reported on one computer in Mexico and several in Jefferson City in the past week. The virus locks up your computer by displaying a screen saying your system has been locked down because of illegal activity. It demands a payment of $100 or $200 to remove the lock. Police agencies are advising this is a scam and the FBI cannot levy fines. To protect yourself and remove threats that may be on your system already, search for fixes to the FBI Moneypak Virus on your search engine and follow the instructions. Police say paying the money will not fix your computer.
