Governor Eric Greitens announced the results of an investigation into possible fraud in Missouri’s Blind Pension system today.
After the investigation, it was discovered 436 people receiving a monthly benefit of at least $738 have a valid drivers license, and one had a license to drive a commercial truck. Another had multiple driving violations and a DWI.
All of the recipients of the fund are also getting state funded health insurance.
The investigation was prompted after an increasing number of blind pension applicants presented a valid Missouri Drivers license.
