The 24th ranked Missouri Tigers baseball team took down number 19 Missouri State 8-6 yesterday (Tuesday).
Mizzou freshman designated hitter Chad McDaniel hit a go ahead double in the top of the 7th to lead the Tigers to victory.
Mizzou improved to 24-9 on the year and snapped a four game skid against the Missouri State Bears in Springfield.
The St. Louis Cardinals with a comeback win against the Milwaukee Brewers 5-3 in extra innings last (Tuesday) night.
Matt Carpenter hooked a two run homer in the 11th inning.
It was the only lead the Cardinals would have in the 4 hour 2 minute contest.
The Kansas City Royals dropped a game at home 8-3 to the Seattle Mariners. Kansas City had more bad news placing outfielder Alex Gordon on the 10-day disabled list with a labral tear in his left hip.
Abraham Almonte was called up from Class AAA Omaha to fill in.
