A longtime Mexico Public Safety Officer was celebrated by family, friends and colleagues today [Friday] when he entered retirement.
Brian Schmidt has been with the department for just over 27 years, and says he will be spending time with his family.
He says Mexico’s Public Safety Department will continue to protect and serve the community.
Schmidt was presented a plaque to commemorate his time with the department by Public Safety Chief Susan Rockett.
