St. Louis based SSM Health is releasing information this (Thursday) morning about the sale of its hospitals in Jefferson City and Mexico.
According to the SSM they have signed letters of intent with University Health Care to transfer ownership in Jefferson City and Mexico, as well as outpatient, home care, hospice and medical group locations throughout the region.
The hospital says it is also in exclusive discussions with Mosiac Life Care in St. Joseph to transfer ownership of SSM Health St. Francis in Maryville.
No word yet from University Health Care as to what services they will be keeping in Mexico, and Jefferson City. The diligence process is expected to take several months.
The terms of the transaction are still being finalized.
