A Mexico man was arrested last night [Wednesday] on the charges of statutory rape and statutory sodomy.
According to the probable cause statement, 25 year old Jesse Smith allegedly had intercourse with a 15 year old female in a garage in the 500 block of Muldrow in February or March of this year.
Smith was transported to the Audrain County Jail where he posted a $25 thousand bond.
His arraignment is scheduled for November 6 at 10:00.
