A familiar face is returning as Missouri’s education commissioner of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Margie Vandeven will be reinstated to the position after a nearly year long vacancy in the office of commissioner.
An administration led by former Governor Eric Greitens fired Vandeven in December last year (2017).
Since then Roger Dorson has acted as the interim commissioner.
