Darnell Gray’s Caregiver Indicted By Grand Jury

An indictment is now handed down to the caregiver of four year old Darnell Gray.

Earlier this week on Tuesday a grand jury indicted Quatavia Givens who was watching four year old Darnell Gray when he went missing in October in Jefferson City and was found several days later concealed in a wooded area.

An autopsy showed Gray died from blunt and sharp force trauma.

According to court records Givens told police she may have hit Gray wrong.

She is facing one count of child neglect or abuse resulting in death.

The crime is punishable by 10 to 30 years or life in prison.

An arraignment is set for January 9th.
