Paul Goldschmidt is now the highest paid St. Louis Cardinal in team history.
According to reports Goldscmidt agreed to a five year, 130 million dollar contract extension with the Redbirds yesterday (Thursday).
In more Cardinals news manager Mike Shildt is saying Dakota Hudson will be the clubs fifth starting pitcher.
Hudson beat out John Gant, who will be sent to the bullpen for opening day.
