Candidate filing opens this (Tuesday) morning for seats open on the board of education and city council during the April 7th, general election.
In Mexico on the city council 2 seats are open, with Mayor Dr. Ayanna Shivers and council member Steve Nichols terms expiring.
The Mexico Board of Education will have 3 seats up for grabs for a three year term.
Kelli Teel, Dustin Pascoe, and Brian Rowe have terms expiring.
The filing deadline ends January 21st at 5pm.
