The National Weather Service is issuing a Red Flag Warning from 2 this afternoon until 6 tonight for several counties in the listening area.
The warning is for Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Gasconade, Moniteau, Monroe and Osage Counties.
Residents are being asked not to burn items outdoors during the warning due to weather conditions could cause fires to spread easily due to high winds and relatively low humidity.
