Mexico High senior Kylah Gore signed a Letter of Intent to play golf with Truman State University as a Lady Bulldog yesterday at the Mexico High School Sports Complex.

While at Truman, Gore plans to study biology and nursing so she may continue her education to become a nurse practitioner.

Gore has been the tournament champion at eight events over her high school career and has been the medalist in countless golf matches.

MHS Coach Lindsey Yancey added, “Kylah was also a crucial team member for the 2017 season when we broke three school records and had the best season in school history.”

Kylah advises young golfers to be patient. “Golf is so difficult and it takes a lot of time and practice to make the smallest improvement. I would also say to be lighthearted about it. It’s really easy to get frustrated during a tournament, but if you just go into it with the right attitude, you can have fun no matter how you are playing that day.”
