Heavy Rains Cause Flooding In Audrain County

Heavy rains cause flooding in western Audrain County.

Storms that moved through last night caused numerous road closures in the Highway T and Highway E area of Audrain County and at least one water rescue.

Estimates provided by fire department responders indicated fast-moving water nearly a foot deep flowing across Highway T west of Highway E.

The National Weather Service office in St. Louis told KXEO News that a certified report from Mexico indicated 1.7″ of rain, while radar estimates in western Audrain and northern Boone county indicated 5 to 6 inches fell.

The photo of the overflow at Lakeview Lake in Mexico was taken at 8:30 this morning.
