A scam targeting Mexico’s elder population is being reported by both Mexico Public Safety and Mexico’s City Hall.
According to Public Safety, a company is calling Mexico residents and attempting to get them to sign up for a new roof or roof repairs.
The company does not have a Mexico business license and has been asked to stop contacting residents until they have one.
Authorities caution residents not to sign anything or do business with unlicensed contractors.
