Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Monday, January 8, 2024.
- Stolen vehicle on North Clark.
- Fight in progress at the South Jefferson apartment building.
- Suspicious activity on Harwood.
- Suspicious vehicle at Lafayette.
- Property dispute on South Calhoun.
Car accidents:
A two-car accident on North Western at Hendricks on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 3:28pm.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Cory Walden of Laddonia attempted to turn right and lost control and slid into the driver’s side of a vehicle driven by 54-year-old Eddie Valenzuela of Mexico.
No injuries were reported.
A two-car accident on Boulevard at West Street on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 5:44pm.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Mary Carr or Mexico slowed to prepare to turn and was hit by a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Colby Taylor of Mexico who slid in the snow.
No injuries were reported.
A one-car accident on South Clark Street at the Highway 54 bypass bridge.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Cameron Maxwell Schlemko of Columbia was turning and the vehicle aggressively accelerated and lost control and overturned.
No injuries were reported.
