The job posting for superintendent’s position for the Mexico School District closed on Friday, February 16, 2024.
The position had been posted since January 29, 2024.
The Mexico Board of Education will meet in regular session on Tuesday, February 20, where a committee of school personnel and community members will be determined to help in the selection process.
The committee will lead the process by reviewing applications and narrowing the candidate pool to at least five, who will be invited to an interview with the committee on Saturday, February 24.
The top two finalists will be invited back for a Mexico community tour, a public introduction of the candidate to the school and community, and an interview with the Board of Education during the last week of February.
The board will then make a determination on the next superintendent following the final two interviews and hope to announce a new superintendent by the end of February.
