The Mexico Bulldogs boys and girls basketball celebrated senior night at the Mexico High School on Tuesday, December 19, 2024.
The Mexico Bulldogs boys clinched the North Central Missouri Conference championship with a 77-39 victory against the Moberly Spartans.
Bulldogs senior guard DJ Long reached a major milestone in the first half.
Long completed a two-handed dunk and reached 1,500 career points.
Long finished the game with 14 points.
Charlie Fisher and Kaden Benne each finished with 14 points.
And PJ Perkins recorded a game high 19 points.
The Mexico boys celebrated their four seniors DJ Long, Donye Nunnelly, Aidan Knipfel and Grant Broeker.
And one of their own, Grant Broeker was crowned the 2024 Mr. Bulldog.
Mexico improved their record to 23-2 on the season and 9-0 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
The Bulldogs can finish with a perfect NCMC record with a victory on Tuesday night against the Hannibal Pirates.
The Mexico Lady Bulldogs lost 68-50 to the state ranked Moberly Lady Spartans.
Claire Hudson led the Lady Bulldogs offense with 24 points.
Mexico celebrated their five seniors Jordyn Thurman, Addison Heim, Anna Raines, Ella Raines, Kylie Burnett and Karlee Sefrit.
The Lady Bulldogs will finish the regular season on the road on Tuesday against the Hannibal Lady Pirates.
