The Mexico Lady Bulldogs have advanced to the Class 4 District 9 Championship Game after defeating the Fulton Lady Hornets 51-46 at the Fulton High School on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
Mexico had lost the last two regular season games to Fulton and this was the fourth overall meeting between the two teams this season.
It was all tied up at 10 after the first quarter.
Mexico trailed by 26-20 at halftime.
The Lady Bulldogs outscored Fulton 31-20 in the second half to eliminate their rivals.
Claire Hudson led the Bulldogs offense with 18 points.
Senior Karlee Sefrit recorded 13 points.
And senior Jordyn Thurman nailed three-three pointers and finished the game with nine points.
The third seeded Bulldogs meet the number one seeded Moberly Lady Spartans at 6pm on Friday, March 1st at the Fulton High School with a District Championship up for grabs. .
