Several students from the Mexico High School Speech and Debate team will be headed to perform at State after recording top finishes at Districts on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
The readers and theatre cast won a District Championship.
Not only did they secure 1st place ranks from all three judges, but for the first time in Mexico history, they received perfect 50 point scores from all three judges.
Will Sause and Jylian Whitworth won a District Championship and qualified for State in Duo Interpretation.
Jasmine Reeves took third place and qualified for State in Storytelling.
Additional finalists include Jasmine Reeves, Karissa Hayden and Will Sause in Duet Acting.
