Mexico Public Safety responded to an accident involving a Mexico School District school bus during the morning hours of Friday, May 3, 2024.
Mexico Public Safety responded to the accident just after 7:30am on Wade at Whitley.
According to Mexico Public Safety the accident involved a school bus and another vehicle.
The Mexico School District sent out an email to parents stating it was a minor traffic incident and no students were injured.
As a precautionary measure, all students were transferred from Bus 84 to another bus and then taken to school.
Mexico Public Safety is processing the accident report and more details will be available soon.

Dear Bulldog Parents and Guardians,
We want to inform you about a minor traffic incident involving one of our school buses this morning; no students were injured. As a precautionary measure, all students have been transferred from Bus 84 to another bus and are currently en route to school.
We thank our district staff and Mexico Public Safety for following protocol to ensure the continued safety of our students.
