Multiple athletes from the Community R6 track team qualified for Sectionals after competing at the District track meet at the New Haven High School on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
The 4×100 team of Lane Carter, Mason Carroll, Caden Thomas, Aaron Carter put up a first place finish at Districts and set a new school record of 48.09, breaking the previous record of 48.11.
Carter, Carroll, Thomas and Thomas put up a second place finish in the 2×200.
The 4×400 team of Caden Thomas, Aaron Carter, Mason Rohan, and Lane Carter took third place at Districts and received an All-District Honorable Mention.
The 4×800 team of Mason Rohan, Brett Beamer, Houston Hogan and Nicholas Henke took fourth place.
Lane Carter finished in third place in the 400 meter dash and received an All-District Honorable Mention.
Drake Welch finished in fourth place in Javelin.
The 4×800 girls team-Peyton Schafer, Lydia Hoyt, Kat Meyer, and Alyssa Beamer.
The team finished fourth at Districts.
Alyssa Beamer qualified for Sectionals with a fourth place finish in the 800 meter run.
The Sectionals will take place at the South Callaway High School.
