Miss Kansas City Ashley Berry outlasted 15 contestants to become the new Miss Missouri.
The 20-year-old Berry is from Clinton, Missouri and will represent the Show-Me State in the upcoming Miss America Pageant.
She was awarded over $14,000 from the Miss Missouri Scholarship Organization during the conclusion of the Miss Missouri Pageant on Saturday night at the Missouri Military Academy in Mexico, Missouri.
Berry has attended the University of Alabama and is the daughter of Mark and Amy Berry.
Her community service initiative is is media smart.
