Missouri football’s season opener against Murray State at Faurot Field is officially sold out for Thursday,  August 29, 2024.

Missouri’s Memorial Stadium currently has a capacity of 62,621.

Tonight’s crowd will rank among the biggest in program history for a home opener, according to Mizzou Athletics.

To add to the excitement, the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl trophy will be on display for fans to visit in the north concourse starting at 5:30 and through the first quarter.

The 11th ranked Tigers kick off against Murray State at 7pm.

Former Mizzou running back Cody Schrader has been claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Rams.

The San Francisco 49ers let Schrader go earlier this week.

He had joined the club as an un-drafted free agent in the spring.

Schrader finished his collegiate career at Mizzou over the last two seasons.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the San Diego Padres 4-3 at Busch Stadium on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

The game-winner came from a base hit from Nolan Arenado.

St. Louis will go for a series split this afternoon.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced Wednesday, details surrounding the 2024 Cardinals Hall of Fame Weekend on September 6-8.

The weekend will be highlighted by the 10th annual Cardinals Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony of Matt Morris, Dave Duncan, and the late Whitey Kurowski scheduled for 3pm on Saturday, September 7 at Ballpark Village.

The Cardinals Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held outdoors on the Busch II Infield Stage at Ballpark Village.

The ceremony is free and open to the public.

The Kansas City Royals lost 7-5 to the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field.

The Royals leave Cleveland just one game behind the Guardians for the American League lead with 29 games left.
