One woman is dead following a crash in Audrain County during the afternoon hours of Friday, August 30, 2024.
According to Mexico Public Safety it happened around 3:15 on Friday afternoon on the US Highway 54 bypass, on the railroad overpass.
Responding personnel found two vehicles that had hit each other head on and were still attached.
The vehicles were on fire. The fire was extinguished and the people in the vehicles were removed.
Audrain Ambulance District transported a man to University Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
A woman was killed in the crash.
There were no other people involved in the crash and the incident is still under investigation.
The bypass was closed until a little after five on Friday night.
