A Mexico man is facing several charges after an incident at the former hospital site in Mexico during the morning hours of Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
Mexico Public Safety was called to the former hospital site on East Monroe just before 9:30 on Tuesday morning in reference to abandoned property.
Public safety says there was no evidence of theft or property damage on the property and the bicycle was seized.
Shortly after 3:30 on Tuesday afternoon an officer saw a man walking around the property in the general area where the bicycle had been.
As the officer attempted to speak to the man about trespassing, the man ignored and attempted to avoid the officer according to Mexico Public Safety.
The man was detained and identified as 37-year-old Deshaun M. Dingledine of Mexico.
Dingledine was arrested without incident and taken to the Audrain County Jail for trespassing and three outstanding warrants for various offenses.
