A Mexico, Missouri man is facing new charges.
The East Central Drug Task Force, Mexico Public Safety and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers arrested 20-year-old Teddy Baugh-Helton on September 3rd.
He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Delivery or Manufactured of an Imitation Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
According to reporting from KRCG 13 the day he was arrested, Baugh-Helton let a detective look at his phone.
An Audrain County Deputy said that while examining the phone, he saw a video showing Baugh-Helton firing a handgun.
He said the gun had a small device protruding from the slide cover plate on the firearm slide, known as a switch, allowing a semi-automatic Glock pistol to fire bullets lilke a fully automatic firearm.
Audrain County prosecutors have filed new charges of Unlawful Possession, Transport, Manufacture, Repair, or Sale of Illegal Weapon against Baugh-Helton.
