The Community R-VI High School girls softball team earned a second place finish in the Paris Tournament on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
The Lady Trojans defeated Canton 11-4 in Game one of the tournament.
Peyton Schafer, Amy McCurdy and Jocelyn Curtis and Chloe Johnson each collected two hits.
McCurdy, Curtis and Braelyn Kuda collected 2 RBI in the win.
Game 2 saw the Lady Trojans edge out Paris 5-4.
Rylee Rafferty went 2-4 with an RBI.
Amy McCurdy collected 2 RBI.
And Aaliyah Welch was 2-3.
Myla Carrol got the win in the circle.
Community would lose to Salisbury 8-5 in the championship game to claim 2nd place in the tournament.
