A Columbia woman is facing charges after an arrest by Moberly Police on Friday in connection with a kidnapping investigation from the week before.
According to a news release, 33-year-old Allison Escobar has been charged with kidnapping and assault in Randolph County from an incident on Rollins Street in Moberly on September 20th.
Police said they investigated a reported kidnapping on that date, and later arrested Vaughn Woods for the incident.
According to court documents Woods held the victim for ransom, and hit her with a gun on her mouth and head.
The criminal complaint filed against Escobar claims she also assaulted the victim while helping to hold her for ransom.
