The Mexico Bulldogs will host the Kirksville Tigers in Week 7 of the high school football season on Friday, October 12, 2024.
The Bulldogs come in with a record of 3-3, while the Kirksville Tigers are undefeated at 6-0.
It is the annual Pink Out game.
This year, for the annual “Pink Out” game, Steve Haag and the Mexico Football Team are joining the NFL and the American Cancer Society initiative “Crucial Catch”.
Crucial Catch strives to educate fans about all forms of cancer prevention and early detection.
Pink Out games have become a popular event for many high school fall sports teams and the football team wants to continue this tradition but Coach Haag and the rest of the staff, team and parents want to make sure to bring awareness to ALL forms of cancer.
In addition to the team honoring those that have been touched by cancer, there will be a 50/50 drawing and an opportunity for fans to donate to purchase signs to honor someone, as well.
In addition, you will see a ton of pink in the stands as the Gridiron Moms group sold Crucial Catch t-shirts and sweatshirts prior to the game and the student section theme for the evening is Pink Out!

Then kick off at 7pm.

Mexico finishes with a second place finish in the North Central Missouri Conference and an overall record of 14-14.
Mexico is ranked third in the Class 4 District 5 Tournament.
The Lady Bulldogs have a first round game against Holt on Thursday, October 17th at 4pm.
The game will be played in Hannibal.

The Blues overcame a three-goal deficit to win it in overtime.
