Week 8 of the high school football season is in the books and checking on some of the scores from Friday, October 18, 2024.

The Mexico Bulldogs went on the road and defeated the Moberly Spartans 39-20.

The Mexico Bulldogs offense ran wild totaling up 445 in rushing yards.

Hunter Cuno finished the night with three touchdowns, and 164 rushing yards.

Drew Demint had a touchdown and torched the Spartans defense for 149 yards.

Petyon Hoover scored on a pick-six and had a rushing touchdown.

Hoover put up 73-yards on the ground.

Mexico secured a third place finish in the North Central Missouri Conference.

South Shelby defeated Macon 42-21 on the Country 96 Game of the Week.

Blair Oaks dominated Hallsville 56-12.

Boonville with a 61-0 shutout of Versailles.

Valle Catholic gave Bowling Green their first defeat of the year winning by a score of 42-20.

California over Eldon 33-26.

Capital City doubled up Camdenton 28-12.

Centralia big over Palmyra 44-12.

Battle bested Jefferson City 33-13.

Rock Bridge took out Hickman 58-7.

Kirksville shut out Fulton 42-0 to improve to a perfect 8-0 on the season.

Hannibal dominated Marshall 57-14.

Helias handled Smith-Cotton 51-8.

Hermann by a touchdown 14-7 against Pacific.

Monroe City bested Highland 60-6.

South Callaway defeated Linn 49-8.

Montgomery County outlasted Wright City 33-28.

North Callaway beat Van-Far 42-22.

Salisbury 36 Crest Ridge 26

Osage took down Southern Boone 45-7.

In eight-man football Paris lost to Slater 68-48.

Semifinals of area District High School softball playoffs take place today (Saturday).

In Class 1 District 4 taking place in Laddonia it will be #1 seed Paris playing Clopton at 1pm.

Community R6 and North Shelby play at 2:30 this (Saturday) afternoon.

Checking out the Class 3 District 4 tournament being played in Ashland it will be Centralia against North Callaway at 11am.

Followed by Hallsville playing Macon at 1pm.

In the Class 4 District 5 bracket being played in Hannibal it will be Father Tolton against Kirksville at 11 this (Saturday) morning.

Following that game at 1:30 this afternoon the Mexico Lady Bulldogs play St. Dominic.

The 19th ranked Missouri Tigers play the Auburn Tigers in a Homecoming game at Faurot Field in Columbia this (Saturday) morning.

Mizzou is 5-1 on the season, while Auburn comes in with a record of 2-4.

Kickoff is at 11am.

Hockey tonight (Saturday), it will be the St. Louis Blues hosting the Carolina Hurricanes at the Enterprise Center. Puck drops at 6pm.
