Area students are participating in a reality-based decision-making experience addressing individual and family budgeting at the Mexico Middle School on Thursday, November 7, 2024.
The Reality Store was started by the Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce in 2011 and gives eighth graders an assigned job and annual salary.
The students then meet with area business owners and learn about car insurance, daycare expenses, housing, donations and more.
Students from St. Brendan, Mexico Middle School, Community R-VI, Van-Far and the Missouri Military Academy take part in the Reality Store.
