The Mexico Bulldogs cruised to an 83-23 victory over New Haven in the opening round of the Montgomery County R-II Boys Basketball Invitational on Tuesday, December 4, 2024.
All 12 Mexico players got into the scoring book.
The Bulldogs offense was led by Jaydon Eldridge who put up 20 points, collected 5 rebounds and recorded 2 steals.
PJ Perkins finished with 12 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds.
Charlie Fisher had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and went 5/5 shooting.
Austin Maxwell put up 9 points, and went 3-for-5 from behind the arc.
Kaden Benne had 8 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.
James Matthews with 6 points, 5 steals and 5 rebounds.
Kinser Groves finished the game with 4 points.
Sam Ryan, Hunter Bickell, Brixton Goerne, and Davontae Frame all scored 2 points each respectively.
Head coach Darren Pappas said “We were active on the offensive glass getting 23 offensive rebounds, generated 19 steals and 19 assists, and we only committed 10 turnovers.”

The Mexico Lady Bulldogs resumes play in the Montgomery County Tournament on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
4th seeded Mexico plays the top seeded Clopton Lady Hawks.

Missouri men’s basketball defeated California 98-93 on Tuesday night at Mizzou Arena in the SEC/ACC Challenge.
Sophomore Anthony Robinson II, led the offense for Mizzou with a career-high 29 points along with six assists and a pair of steals.
Mizzou moves to 7-1 with the victory.
Up next Missouri welcomes Kansas to Mizzou Arena on Sunday for the Border War.

Jordan Kyrou scored two goals for the St. Louis Blues in a 4-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets at Canada Life Centre on Tuesday night.
Dylan Holloway and Robert Thomas each had a goal and an assist for the Blues, who extended their point streak to four games since Jim Montgomery was named coach on November 24th.
