The Mexico High School Quiz Bowl Team is headed back to compete for a State Championship after defeating Washington in the State Quarterfinals on Tuesday, Apr. 22, 2025.
Mexico won game 1, 450-300 despite being down at the half.
The Bulldogs won game 2, 450-270.
Camden Williams and Andrew Peuster were the top scorers for Mexico in both games.
Also playing on Tuesday, were Lucy Gleason and Hunter Feger.
In 2023 Mexico placed third at State.
In 2024 Mexico earned a second place finish at State.
The Bulldogs are currently the 4th ranked high quiz bowl team in the United States.
Mexico will compete against New Heights Christian (Joplin), Webster Groves and Center at State.
The State competition will be held May 10, 2025, in Columbia at Memorial Union at Mizzou.
Games will take place at 1pm and 2pm with placement games at 3:30pm.
