Montgomery County citizens can now put a face to the place. For months they’ve heard about a possible data center coming to the county. Turns out that the retail and cloud computing giant Amazon is behind the proposed facility.
Amazon has secured a 1,000 acre site just north of Interstate 70 between New Florence and High Hill in Montgomery County. Now it needs a building permit from the county for its data center,
The Greater Montgomery County Economic Development Council has been working for months to ensure the county has enough power and water to handle the facility as well to help facilitate the new structure in the county.
