Former Fire Official Pleads Guilty to Reduced Misdemeanor Charge

The state has dropped a second-degree domestic assault charge against a former Boone County Fire Protection District assistant chief.

Kurt David Doolady pleaded guilty Thursday in Camden County to a reduced charge peace disturbance, a misdemeanor.

Court records show Doolady was fined about four hundred dollars.

Court documents say he used offensive language likely to provoke a violent response.

Doolady was first charged in October after allegations that he assaulted his spouse at their Sunrise Beach home.

He retired from the fire district two days later.

Doolady had served with the department since 1990 and once led Missouri Task Force 1.
