Thunderstorms cause power outages

A strong line of thunderstorms moved through mid-Missouri this morning and with it came several power outages.

In northern Boone County, power was knocked out to the Country 96 transmitter, leaving the station off the air for an hour and a half. The outage was part of a small cluster of 18 Consolidated Electric Coop customers.

Hundreds of Ameren Missouri customers lost power in the Osage County area. About 500 meters were dark in the Loose Creek and Westphalia area.

More than 200 Gasconade Electric Cooperative members in Pulaski County were also without power at about 2 p.m.
