A Columbia woman accused in the death of an infant at her unlicensed day care is set to stand trial this week.
Sarah Brown faces a felony charge of involuntary manslaughter after a baby died at her in-home day care in 2023.
Investigators say the infant was left unsupervised, sleeping on her stomach with a loose blanket, conditions that court documents state led to suffocation.
Brown’s four-day jury trial begins Today (Tuesday) at 8:30 at the Boone County Courthouse in Columbia.
