A 22-year-old man has been charged in a Morgan County rape investigation.
The Eldon Police Department began an investigation into Ethan Terry Wood, of Fulton, for the alleged statutory rape of a juvenile.
According to court documents, Wood admitted to a sexual encounter with a minor during police questioning.
The alleged incident reportedly occurred last September when the victim, who was 16 at the time, and a friend visited Wood at his residence.
The victim claimed that they had gone with Wood to a separate camper located on the property and had consensual sexual intercourse.
Police noted that when the alleged incident occurred, the juvenile was 16 years old and the man was 22.
The case remains under investigation as prosecutors announce the charge against Wood.
