Cardinal tie Marlins, option six players

In Florida, the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins played to a two all tie. Catcher Pedro Pages had an RBI double for the Redbirds.

Meanwhile the Cardinals reduced its Spring Training roster to 51 players over the weekend, by moving players to their minor league camp. The team optioned pitcher Tink Hence, infielder César Prieto, infielder/outfielder Bryan Torres, and catchers Leo Bernal and Jimmy Crooks to the Memphis (AAA) roster and re-assigned non-roster pitcher Skylar Hales to minor league camp.
