Prosecutors charged the 36-year old woman with felony counts of Second Degree Assault and Resisting with Arrest for a Felony and two misdemeanor counts of Fourth Degree Assault- Special Victims.
At 12:26 p.m., Jefferson City police responded to North Jefferson City for a report of road rage.
A tow truck driver stated he was towing Tallent’s vehicle, and that she started following him in another vehicle, tried to cut him off and then attempted to drive her vehicle into the rear axle of his tow truck.
The tow truck driver had to drive off the road into the grass to avoid being hit. Tallent then allegedly got out of her vehicle and got into the vehicle that was being towed. When officers arrived, she refused to get out of the towed vehicle.
Court documents state that officers had to use pepper spray in order to get her out of the vehicle. However, she continued to resist arrest and bit one officer’s hand as he tried to get her into handcuffs and then bit another officer on his hand.
Once cuffed, they took her to a local hospital for treatment for the pepper spray.
She was then taken to the Callaway County Jail, where she was being held without bond.
