I-70 in Columbia, Hwy 50 in Jefferson City, bridges reopen

On-I-70, the demolition of the St. Charles Road Bridge at the Lake of the Woods Exit (131) is complete. Crews finished up that on Sunday just before 6pm, after the Interstate was re-routed starting Friday evening.

Travelers generally had 15-20 minute delays over the weekend, as traffic was one-lane through the area.

Meanwhile, the U.S. 50 and Jefferson City entrance and exit ramps that closed Friday night for demolition of the Jefferson City tri-level bridge, reopened hours ahead of schedule, according to a MoDOT news release.

Crews also removed parts of the Bolivar Street Bridge

This de-construction was complete almost three hours ahead of last night’s 9pm, planned re-opening.

Meanwhile, the Bolivar Street Bridge remains closed to all traffic, including motorized vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians.
