Florida man charged after crash into cars, home in Mexico, Missouri


A Florida man is facing multiple charges after a crash involving several vehicles and a home in Mexico, Missouri.

Police say 32-year-old Luis Soberon-Companioni was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly hitting parked cars, driving through yards, and striking a porch in the 1500 block of North Olive Street before leaving the scene.

Officers located the suspect vehicle minutes later near Love and Jefferson streets.

According to court documents, Soberon-Companioni showed signs of impairment, and his vehicle had visible damage.

He’s charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident and tampering with evidence, along with several misdemeanors, including DWI.

Soberon-Companioni is scheduled to appear in the Audrain County courts this morning at 10am.
