Columbia police have arrested a suspect in a stabbing early Monday morning on Rice Road.
Officers responded around 2:30 a.m. to the 4500 block, where they say 33-year-old Dariell Deshell Smith assaulted a man with a knife during a domestic disturbance.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Smith was arrested on suspicion of first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action, but charges had not been filed as of Monday afternoon.
The investigation is ongoing.
